Who doesn't like a bargain?

I've been delving into alot of "flea market finds" blogs lately and wanted to share a project we completed awhile back.  We didn't pick up this table at a flea market...or a garage sale...nope, nope.  We rescued it from the curb!  Can you believe it?  A perfectly fine 1970ish coffee table that no longer fit the bill in this particular home.  We surreptitiously stashed the table in the back of the car and came home (only a few doors down) with our latest bargain treasure.  I knew right away I wanted to recycle it into a little buffet table...or sofa table...and I absolutely knew just the right shade of turquoise.  Some new legs did the trick along with that spectacular paint. some sweet little birdie votives and voila!  Magnifique?

Working on Canvas

Thinking I'm finished with this little 6x6!  This is the first mixed media I attempted on canvas and am liking the results.  I'm on a "sisters", "girl-art" kick and having a ball creating ArT!  I want to check into having prints made of some sort...or cards....or notes....off to do some research!

Guarding A Garden Gate

Needed to spiff this guy up with some new paint, a new message (Even a bad day of fishing is better than a good day of work), and a special glittery heart tattoo to make me smile!

Garden Path

“To be a star, you must shine your own light, follow your own path, and don't worry about the darkness, for that is when the stars shine brightest” Unknown

These stepping stones on our side yard were such a fun project! A great idea for recycling beautiful tiles and a good excuse to shop for more! I'm looking forward to creating others for personalizing another garden path.

Garden View

Just embellished one of my mirrors in the garden with these recycled tin letters "live". Love the reflection and this quote “Women need real moments of solitude and self-reflection to balance out how much of ourselves we give away.” Barbara De Angelis
