"B" is For Balance

It's time to join Jenny for this weeks alphabe-thursday alphabet soup!   We've gone through the whole alphabet, so today's "soup" day till we start next Thursday's "Rainbow Summer School".

I don't know if you remember my "Y" piece?  If not, the post is here.   It was titled "Yet, another Work in Progress".  I  asked for everyone's opinion  - should I, or should I not Add Text?

The "add text" vote won, so here's the revised piece...

Pink Saturday

This is Polly.  She Loves Pink!

She wanted to join all the Pink Ladies for Beverly's Pink Saturday party.   

Polly's been busy in the garden this morning and found the perfect pinkish rose for her hair.  It inspired her pink lips and that tiny pink star.  Polly's lucky because her cheeks are just naturally pink...and her hair is just naturally...blonde....ahem...

Alphabe-Thursday Letter "Z"

This is Zelda.

She is joining Jenny Matlock's Alphabe-Thursday Letter "Z"

Most people who observe Zelda think she is angry....but she's not.  Zelda is a zealous dreamer.  She's in her own zone.  Once, Zelda was featured in a Zine drinking Zinfandel while whistling "Zippity Do Dah".  She was in Zanzibar at the time working on her latest zebra inspired zippered .....clutch.  Unfortunately, she never finished the clutch.  Zelda got zonked on the Zinfandel as she danced to "Zephyr" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. She listened to it about a zillion times and got completely...distracted...and inspired...Zing!  Zelda had another idea and zoomed to Zurich.  She met a zany investor who was actually a direct descendant of  Ulrich Zwingli.  He had a home on Lake Zurich and wanted to open a Zoo.  Zelda zeroed in with zest on importing....zebras for the zoo.  She got zilch.  Zelda didn't mind.  She was already in another zone...and dreaming....of a Zinfandel vineyard...in Zambia....or Zaire...along the Zambezi?.....perhaps Zagreb? 

Oh Zelda!!!  Never stop.....dreaming.

What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday? Week 58

This is my first week joining Julia for WOYWW (What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday).   Took a quick photo this morning  ....please pardon the glare from the work light...not to mention the mess...but that's part of the process for me...

Lots more work to do, but am liking what's happening so far...

"X" is for Xyron

Today is Jenny Matlock's Alphabe-Thursday  and the letter is ...."X".  It was inevitable.  An eXtra tough letter.  Of course I went to the dictionary....even googled for more choices...and really couldn't come up with anything I was particularly interested in.  However, while working on an art piece yesterday, I spied an interesting letter "X".  Hidden behind a basket holding canvases in an unopened boX...

sat my Xyron creative station.

SeXy, right??? 


"create stickers, magnets, labels and laminate items"....Ahem....why is it STILL unopened?  I remember when I got it debating over the 5" or the 9".    My dh happened to be with me on this trip and he was eXcellent trying to help me figure out logically if I really need the Xyron...what size...you know, tough questions like 'what are you going to use it for...?'  HuH???  "O, I can think of an eXtra thousand projects I can use it for!"  Doesn't everyone need a sticker, magnet, label, laminator????  AND, I had a coupon for 50% off!  Great eXcuse to eXecute the deal.

That was about 3 months ago...and there still sits my 50% off Xyron...unopened...eXhibiting signs of dust on top of the boX.  I'm making a commitment to eXcavate the Xyron today.  I will even eXamine Xyron eXamples online.  I'm so eXcited!  I just know it will eXceed my eXpectations....

But First....
I muST....
EXit for an eXcursion....

I really need a new digital camera!
