Wednesday, I posted a canvas I began...
Acrylics, stamps, lots of various papers including maps, telephone pages and scrapbook paper ripped for the rough edge..
As of last eve, here's the progress.... pardon the ever present glare I always get with early morning photo's on the desk...More of the same materials mentioned above...added some napkins because I love the translucency and experimented with conte crayons on the skin tones. Initially, I really loved the way they blended, but the more I worked with them, the less "blendable" they became. Still trying to figure that one out, but even so, will definitely try them again ...perhaps on paper next round.
One last photo with some digital elements applied....and I will leave you to explore and or join in on other paint parties by clicking on the link below:)
Very nice! She is just beautiful ;-)
ReplyDeleteVery nicely done. I think the skin tone turned out great. I haven't tried conte crayon yet but knowing me, it' won't be long. lol
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely, from her pretty face to the flowers in her hair and textured pattern of her dress. Have a happy weekend ahead. ~Theresa
ReplyDeleteVery nice. The conte crayons that you used on the skin tones work wonders. She's awesome and I'm going to Michaels for some conte crayons. Tee Hee.

I love this, the mixed elements are gorgeous together. Can't wait to try some mixed media canvases myself.
ReplyDeleteShe is so powerful, almost commanding. You've done an incredible job with ths painting!
ReplyDeleteBTW, even with paper Conte Crayons seem to stop blending (and begin scratching your hard work) after a certain number of layers. It's too bad, because the colors are so amazing!
Happy PPF!
Stephanie
