Steampunk Towers N Turrets

Still creating towers n turrets inspired by Sharon Tomlinson and Deryn Mentock's online class you can find here.

Just couldn't wait to put a steampunk twist to a piece.  I haven't experimented with this style before, but have been excited to try it out.

Some great free graphics, like this one, can be found at The Graphics Fairy found here.

Loads of fun using little gears from Tim Holtz and little miniature washers and such found around the abode....

What do you think????

Would love to hear your feedback while I'm pondering over the next theme...

Ta Da!

And here she is as of 7pm Tues evening...
I wish you could really see the detail and all the words.  Pretty pleased at this point.  Thanks for all the helpful critiques...much happier with Ms. Birdy on my lady's crown!  Can't wait to get started on the next one.

Linking up to Julia's "What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday", better known as "WOYWW" found here.
Do stop by to check out loads of workdesks and know that you are not alone if your studio is in a shambles:)

A big "Thank You" goes to Karen at The Graphics Fairy found here for providing some of the Shakespeare ladies as the one featured by "marvel".

Also visited Diane again here - (don't forget her giveaway is going on) and read about an interesting free tutorial by another amazing artist Carrie Joy here  - crackle paste and image transfers - YUM!

Where's the Birdy?

This bird not showing up on the crown is driving me nuts!  I stamped on turquoise tissue paper and did some outlining with a gold pen...but still feel she isn't pronounced enough...Hoping to get some good feedback for a remedy.  Any ideas?
